Each of Margaret's pieces is created from precious metal clay.The clay is tiny particles of silver suspended in an organic compound. The clay is worked into unique designs, dried and then fired. During the firing the compound burns away, the silver fuses together leaving 99.9% purity and is then burnished to a mirror finish.

In her silver and glass pieces the clay is sculpted around previously fused glass. In addition, Margaret works with health-giving crystals, and since she lives by the ocean, she incorporates shells and sea glass, which she finds on the beach as she takes her daily walks.
